Sorry it's been so long since we have last updated but things have been crazy around the Russell household! We are only 6 weeks away from our precious little Reece's arrival! So as you can imagine we are waiting anxiously! Rainer turns THREE this coming Saturday and he is so excited about getting to go with his daddy to the Alabama football game. He has asked every morning for the past month if today is the day. He is such a joy and so much fun ....I will definitely keep you posted on how that goes!

We have made many trips this summer and our last trip was to see our dear friends Will, Leigh, Jane & Phelps Young in their home town of Charolette, NC. As you can imagine we had a wonderful time visiting but pretty sure that Rainer and "Baby Jane" had the best time of all! Thanks guys for having us and can't wait for our next visit!

We were able to make time for the zoo and this zoo was an interesting one....it's one you can drive your car through! It was really neat and exciting for us all!

Trip to the Zoo!!!

The past two weekends we have spent in Birmingham. So John and I decided that we would take Rainer along and take him to the zoo considering he wants to go every other day! He of course loved it! As we were walking out he looked up at me and said "Mommy I want to go back to the Zoo..." Really!! We just left-haha!! He is so much fun these day!

This is not the zoo even though it may look like it... Headed to the pool for the first time this season!

His favorite people...Nanny and KK took him to a carnival in Tuscaloosa where the Tumbling bus was there.

First of all, we have celebrated THREE birthdays this past month.... Happy Birthday!

First was "Au-Paw's"

Then GiGi's.......

Followed by Da's.....

We also took a trip to the zoo with our cousins Sadie and Tucker.....

Rainer loved the farm animals....we may have a little farmer on our hands!!

We then took a trip the the Pumpkin Patch with our cousins "Au" and Lane!!

Too funny....we had a family sack race!!

Then a duck race...

The whole gang headed to pick our pumpkins!!

So many fun things to do at the pumpkin patch!!! We had a blast!!

We had our annual pumpkin carving and "apple bobbing" night at Aunt Cat's and Uncle Wade's !!! Always fun....

We had such a great weekend with our dear friends The Gunnells! They were able to come and spend the day with us on Saturday to watch the mighty Crimson Tide! We also kept their two precious girls Yates and Lucy for the evening... We had a blast! Rainer and Yates just loved one another...here are a few pictures we were able to capture throughout the day!

We have just celebrated our 2nd Birthday!! Rainer turned "2" on Sept. the 3rd...He had a wonderful birthday and birthday supper! Man what a difference a year makes! We didn't do a very good job with the picture taking part but we did get a few....

We always enjoy spending time with our cousin Sadie! These two are very entertaining...needless to say!

So it has been a long time since we have blogged...ok we know 3 months but we have had a LOT happen in the past 3 months. So we will do our best to catch you guys up! We have had an amazing summer with vacations and short little trips here and there. We have also finally moved into our new home....maybe one day we will get it together. We are loving being here so far!

First I will start with our annual Beach Trip with the fam and The Youngs!! We stayed at the Caribe this year due to the oil and I will say the kids had a blast! Thanks Jo Jo and Pop Pop for our stay and wonderful trip!

May 2010 Beach Trip

Our first beach trip of the season!! We could not of have asked for a better weekend and trip! Rainer had a blast! We enjoyed the weekend away, the beautiful weather, and time we spent with Da!! Rainer was so excited to be at the "beach" and to ride in Da's "boat" (at least that is what he continued to say for 4 days straight!) We also had a great time visiting and seeing our cousins Russell and Mary Laffiette...Rainer got to ride in their "boat" too...Thanks Russell! Here are a few pictures we were able to capture while we were away....

    It is very challenging these days to get a decent picture of Rainer but I thought these pictures were cute that we were able to capture over the weekend! Rainer is growing so fast and beginning to put all kinds of words together...He keeps us entertained!
     He also loves any kind of ball....He cracks us up on how he can play several different sports at once. He hasn't quite figured it all out! Sunday after we returned from church before John and I could get to the back door we came up on Rainer with his golf club in hand, daddy's old football helmet on, and a football getting ready to tee off! His favorite thing to say now is "Down, set, hut hut...GOOOOO!!" Needless to say there is never a dull moment around this household!
    Sunday afternoon we were able to take Rainer out to the golf course and he had the best time...he thinks he can do it all and of course anything Daddy does... Rainer follows!

Rainer loves this rocking chair and it is very special because it was his Pop's (Johnny Russell) chair. It was also used by his Da and father.....

We are a little confused....??

We had a wonderful Easter weekend full of fun and excitement! Rainer really enjoyed the fun activites that came along with the Easter season....egg hunts, dying easter eggs, and the Easter Bunny! We also had a wonderful day on Sunday starting with an amazing church service and then a great meal to follow! Here are a few pic we have to share...

Sorry for the lack of posting lately but due to so much going on it has been really hard to sit down! Things have been very hectic! As you can see from our pictures below we are MOVING...just across town!!! We are excited...we have been working hard to be ready and have the house ready for our buyers to move in April 1st! Just had to share our little helper with you guys-haha!! He has been a little confused as to why we are taking stuff out of his house...he has been such a BIG help as you can imagine!

We also had a fun weekend with our little princess Baby Jane....Rainer and Jane are getting really excited about Easter coming up!! We always enjoy weekend visits from Aunt Leigh and the little one...Uncle Will we missed you this trip!!

Rainer was also introduced to the Aliceville park one beautiful Saturday afternoon...as you can see he had a BLAST!! Yes we left in tears because we were not ready to go but boy did we have a good time!

So he had a bag of chex mix and 2 more chicken fingers on the way home....We FINALLY made it home and he was still screaming so he finished off his supper with 2 bags of apples, green beans, and a hotdog!!!

All the boys got sleeping bags from Da....even tried them out that night at Da's house!!!!

Went to MeMa' for Christmas Eve and got a gun from A'paw.....We had to take it away from him for bedtime that night....he loved it!!

As you can see I had to take the gun away from him so he would go and check out what Santa brought..haha!!

Out of all these toys this was the first thing he grabbed....he loves books!!

Nanny came over and brought all kinds of fun things!!! We love our Nanny!!

We went to Wally's for Christmas lunch!! It was wonderful as always!

Christmas night we went to GiGi's to open gifts.... Rainer finally figured out by that night what the present thing was all about-ha! He wanted EVERYONES gifts....!!!

Getting ready for bed is always a challenge around our house! This is our child at 9:00 p.m. at night....you think he looks ready for bed??? I found him drinking his bottle under the little island we have in our kitchen which he knows is off limits!! He does a REALLY good job testing his parents to see how far he can over step his boundries....we fail most of the time and he wins-imagine that!

Happy Birthday Rainer!!! We can't believe that a year has past....I wish that I had time to really reflect on this time last year because it was one of the most wonderful day of our lives!!! We have so much to be thankful for and owe it all to the one above!! So first things first.... this morning we got to open a few gifts from mom and dad!! Rainer has a big day ahead of him...a party this morning with all his friends at daycare and then we've got to get ready to party with the fam tonight!! Boy, he's such a loved little boy!
